Prompt: "Create a captivating robot portrait inspired by Vermeer's 'Het meisje met de parel.' Transform the subject into a robot, while preserving the earring's allure and capturing the enigmatic gaze. Incorporate futuristic elements, maintain Vermeer's composition, and add your artistic touch to evoke intrigue and visually striking allure." [runtime: long, overall prompt weight: 90%, model: SDXL 0.9]
Elaboration: “I used ChatGPT to develop a prompt. In developing the prompt, I took into account some iconic elements of the original Het Meisje met de Parel artwork by Johannes Vermeer. Setting up the prompts in ChatGPT took relatively little time. It is my estimation that I spent a total of three quarters of an hour thinking about which work of art I wanted to draw on and drafting the prompt. The classification of when something is art, and what its meaning is, is, in my view, personal. Can a prompt represented graphically by AI be a work of art? What do you think of the work you see?”
Prompt: “The brain music and movement in the style of Van Gogh”
Elaboration: “My PhD thesis examines how music based interventions for movement can change the brain (through neuroplasticity) as we examine it with MRI, and how these interventions can also change our behavior (including movement, thoughts, and mental health). Van Gogh is one my favorite artists and his life also embodies art despite his mental struggles and I thought it was fitting to choose him as I’m doing my PhD in his country of origin, the Netherlands.”
“In the fall semester of 2021, I was on exchange in HK. After having watched F1 in Wan Chai and having a few drinks, we ended up skinny dipping in the Victoria Harbour at 2AM. We smelled like fish for the rest of the night ><>.”
“Miss it every day”
“I’m from Hongkong and I love it. Judging from the background I think it’s a picture taken 10 years ago at least, and back then my home was great. I love the color contrast of the red and yellow. It could be a representation of a sunset, but also the color of blood. Yellow is a very special color in Hong Kong, which represents revolutions. Love the painting, but it also gives me a hint of sadness seeing the situation of my hometown nowadays, but it will forever be my home. I stand with Hong Kong.”
“Love the colours”
