De vergeten Nederlandse slavernijgeschiedenis in Guyana
Bij het Nederlandse slavernijverleden wordt voornamelijk aan de Antillen en Suriname gedacht. Maar ook in het naburige Guyana waren er tot het einde van de achttiende eeuw Nederlandse plantagekoloniën. Bram Hoonhout beschreef deze vergeten geschiedenis in het boek ‘Borderless Empire’.

Gedenksteen wijst op roerige geschiedenis Indonesische studenten
