Hersenverbindingen hangen bij pubers samen met impulsiviteit. Bovendien voorspellen ze welke pubers over twee jaar impulsievere keuzes maken, ontdekten Leidse psychologen.

Je zou denken dat 12-jarigen meer weten over drijven en zinken dan 6-jarigen. Uit onderzoek blijkt echter dat de individuele verschillen in inzicht erg groot zijn. Sommige 6-jarigen hebben een beter natuurkundig inzicht dan 12-jarigen.
